Turbinaria conoides (P)

Occurs throughout Malaysia, this species is consumed raw, described as having a pleasant taste. They are made into a pickle in E Malasia, the seaweeds belonging to this species are eaten raw by the native
chiefs (Radja’s) as a salad with a little vinegar. This species is also eaten in India (Rao 1970), the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand.
