Wakame is used in soups, baked and raw in China, Japan, Korea and Vietnam. Undaria is traditionally served as a luxury food among Japanese and Korean people. This seaweed, called Wakame in Japanese, is sold as boiled or dried and is especially appreciated as an ingredient for soya-bean soup (Misoshiru) and seaweed salad.
